![]() ![]() ![]() I'm thinking possibly Sticky Keys? It has a totally infuriating Shift key based shortcut that I'm convinced gets activated accidentally at least ten times as often as deliberately. So it's far more likely that we're looking at some "helpful" Windows behaviour, probably accessibility-related, that's been turned on by accident. I can think of no single hardware failure that would take out just the two CTRL keys and leave all the others working. Left and right CTRL keys each generate their own key-up and key-down sequences for low-level keyboard driver software to process (if this were not the case, VirtualBox in particular would not be able to use the right CTRL key and the right CTRL key only as its default Host key). ![]()
